Phuket Day 2- Beach Out!

We got up the next morning and headed straight to Patong beach! My boy was here before the tsunami and he mentioned dat the waters seemed cleaner than before the tsunami. There were lotsa water activities available here! like jetski (1000-1500baht for 30 mins)and parasailing, banana boat blah blah..but out of the budget for us =( so we juz walked along the shore =)

We had American breakfast at one of the small restaurants. and the quantity is q a lot! It was I think 120Baht/person.

After walking a while we settled down in Starbucks to have a cup of coffee. That's the street scene taken from the window of starbucks .=)

We got a package to go to James Bond Island aka Phang Nga Bay for the next day (It's called James Bond Island because of the James Bond series was shot there haa!) At the same time, the lady at the store got us this cabbie to drive us to the other beaches in Patong (Karon, Kata, Kata ViewPoint and Promthemp Cape)for 800 Baht.

the waters @ Kata Beach! super clear..! but the beach only had "ang-mohs". Totally no Asians except the pp earning a living there.

My boy posing for his muscle shot! haa

Enjoying a cup of Pina Colada =) by the sunny beach...

While waiting for our cabbie to come pick us up

The driver then brought us to the Kata Viewpoint. It overlooks Kata and Karon beach.=)

We were brought to Promthemp Cape , our last stop.

the sun almost setting..I took a few more shots, trying to figure out a nice angle to tk of the scenery. There were many photographers up there, taking pictures of the place!

there was also a memorial set up for a Navy Officer who was also one of the Prince of Thai Royal family. He received his education in UK and was the founder of the Navy in Thailand.

After which we made our way back to Patong for our dinner. It happened to be the Patong Festival (or sthg like dat..) so we got our dinner from the stalls set up along Patong beach- Phad Thai, huge prawns and Corona =)

Nothing like a cooling Corona to end off the day =)
