lifestyle..
im beginning to get used to getting up @ 530am (havent tried out with trg on the night b4 thou) but at least i dun feel so tired getting up this morning. =)
e dept has a nice ambience..which makes me feel like staying back sometimes =) it's only the start, so got to see whatz more to come.
it's been raining very often these days..like now.triggering the lightning alert this afternoon.but im back home thou i got to start moving myself out of the house soon..for trg.

snapshots of the week..
tuesday: NTUC invited our team to DXO @ esplanade for dinner, along with the other teams sponsored by NTUC. the food was good..and we had a good time chatting away. =)
my boy's bday on 18th feb. bought him this scrumpy (stitch's soft toy)soft toy cos he liked the cartoon charater STITCH. bought it from a shop in PS..the sales person told me it's a limited edition from japan. so decided to get it..=)
had a birthday lunch for my boy at minori japanese restaurant at UE Square. costs us $69 for 2 of us..very full and satisfied after the meal =)
sashimi platter hee..free flow! but the waitress mixed up our orders with that of our next table's. datz why we had octopus..but still, we juz took the food haha
the other cooked stuffs were alright too. had this beef with special sauce which was cooked well. the beef was tender and have "kou gan"
we took a photo by the river..heh. clarke quay.
my boy's back view =) he was buying milo before we go for our movie. "the curious case of benjamin buttons". i fell asleep in the show q a few times thou. hahah slightly too draggy for me.

on friday, i helped my dad to coach his team from jurong secondary school. can really see my dad enjoying himself coaching the young boys. he took the guys while i took the ladies.and he was super proud of his dress sense dat day. haha..he said he looked "coooolll" hahha
friday night was spent having seafood with my team mates @ mellben restaurant in amk. the queue was super long thou we've already made reservations. and my team mates enjoyed the crabs there. =) i cldnt tk seafood, so i had other stuffs.
den went to meet another grp of my team mates at clarke quay..enjoyed the chatting and makan sessions =)
saturday evening was spent in clarke quay. it was after trg..and met up with shihui for dinner =)
a few snaps of clarke quay while waiting for shihui. i sat by the river and saw others eating by the river. maybe i cld try dat the next time =)
we caught a glimpse of this belly dancer outside a persian restaurant, shiraz. she's really good! and has nice abs!
finally a snapshot of ourselves =)
SUNDAY: celebrated laoshi's bday after trg =) it was a nice apple crumbler cake which yuyun cycled all the way to leisure park to get. Think it's from CHOCZ =)

my totally very bad experience with standchart! grrr...
alright so here goes my decription of my VERY BAD EXPErience with standard chartered.
I used this Platinum Access card without knowing that any purchases above $100 will be automatically converted to a instalment plan.(anyway i took up the card over the phone when this sales person kept calling me up..) so when i received my january bill, i realised dat the bill looked exceptionally complicated. despite having paid my previous bill in full, i have some unusual figures on my bill ( which was the amt dat i paid in the previous mth minus off my current month's purchases plus this instalment which had interest incurred) It was a credit amount anyway...
called up the standard chartered hotline immediately..got connected to this lady who wasnt able to answer my queries..meaning she was not able to explain my bill to me, so she mentioned that she wld get back to me. but after waiting for the whole afternoon, she hasnt done so. i called up again. and i got connected to this other lady ( realised i shld have asked for the name) and she simply replied dat i do not owe the bank anything..damn..of cos i dun own lah..it's a credit amount. so i asked whether she cld checked again. and she got exasperated and raised her voice replying that i dun owe anything..(tmd) ok,i juz put down the phone. until the first phone operator called to answer my queries. she said dat IT WAS E INSTITUTE (the company i was paying to) WHICH HAS REVERTED MY PAYMENT TO A INSTALMENT PLAN AND DAT I HAVE TO CHECK WITH THEM INSTEAD. so i went "orrhhh..." and got pissed ..why on earth did the institute revert my payment to an instalment plan.
i went on to email the institute..asking for the reasons etc. and it was the chinese new yr period..so they took some time to reply me. finally in early feb, they replied me..and i realised dat i had been made a fool. cos it was actually stand chart who has reverted the payment to an instalment cos the institute has already receive the full payment.
so...tmd..i went to call up standchart again. until this operator explained to me how this platinum access card works. so i asked the operator to cancel all my instalments.and my new bill will be mailed to me the next mth..12 feb, but before the next bill was mailed to me..i received a late payment notice of $187.XX. HOW ON EARTH DO THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY BEFORE I RECEIVE THE BILL.. and best..it's a late payment notice with the notification that my credit history will be notified to the MAS (so saying that my 'bad' credit history will be known to the MAS!) damn pissed...it was late at night when i received my bill, so i thot maybe juz send an email..so i went on to ask how am i supposed to pay when i do not have the bill yet and why was i given the late payment notice. ( the 'virtual banking officer' replied my mail saying that "please pay $187.XX . any queries please call our hotline.." TMD!)
the next day, i received my feb's bill..and all my big purchases made before i was aware of the way the 'access' card works were reverted to instalment.. pissed. i took a cab down to their tampines branch. and thk goodness i took a cab down..they closed at 4pm. it was 3pm when i saw my bill.
i thot i was q cool when i spoke to the relationship manager..it was dis pregnant lady. i felt q bad to make her run ard..with my bills. she advised me to mk payment for my current month's purchases first. and i will receive my new bill in march. i din wanna wait..cos i dun want a late payment notice to come to me again. but i guess..i oso LL.

new haircut.
just gotten a haircut yest...an expensive one =( din really expect it to go to $40. the last time when i went to the hairstylist, it was 30odd i remembered. but i muz say the hairstylist took a lot of effort to cut.
the dye was oso expensive..and of cos im not used to this really dark tone.
din realised the cut was so short until i started snapping photos with my boy.

it's time to pack my room...and get organized for the weeks and months ahead. i should probably start filing up my notes for the sem and also tk a look at those of previous sems.

waiting...
my coe has been successfully bidded. and it closed at $1020. $21 lesser and i'll be entitled to a coe rebate!! grr...now it's juz waiting for my car to come!
the march IT show will be held from 12-15 march! at the suntec city! i have a couple of buys to make..(arghh dipping into my savings..) gonna have to get a new laptop , most likely the ASUS F6V, a USB port for the house desktop and a pair of earphones for my nano. my old one is super cui already.

of pikaqiu and diarrhoea and laptop
now my team mates has a new spelling of pikaqiu...hahah. sounds v amusing i feel. waiting for my car...
and last evening i had diarhoea. it's been a while i had such bad diarrhoea..send me feeling weak and tired. the cold wind at night made it worse..grr
my laptop's fan is cui-ing...the noise it makes sounds like drilling..grr..have to spend some money again. this time im gonna wait for the march's pc fair.
